Converts dollar amount in numbers to words
This month's Excel macro is a function which converts a number
to a dollar amount in text. For example, it will turn the amount
$23.59 into 'twenty three dollars and fifty nine cents'. The macro
is extracted from Microsoft Knowledge Base article 95640 and was
designed to be used in Access. Because it is written in Visual Basic
for Applications, it will also work in Excel without alteration.
If you're using Access, you can locate the code on the Microsoft
Web site or copy and paste it from the Excel file. The Excel file
contains instructions for using the function in the workbook numbers.xls.
